Turning

Michael Beard

Tiny little devils spin around my bathroom with their arms interlocked. I try to write down today’s events in my journal but can’t get past the date. Pivot to nowhere. I’m bleeding from the temple, who am I bleeding? Stitches can only do so much holding. I take a new medication to help me be more in the present. Presently, we’re not that familiar with eeach other. A rubric might be useful, is that available? Or whatever the opposite of a foghorn is.
